Some people don't believe us that Esperanto is so much easier to learn than other languages. So here's a little demonstration... Try it yourself!

Win a trip abroad!

The Esperanto Association of Southern Africa (EASA) is giving you the chance to win a trip to any Esperanto event worldwide. The prize includes

• return air ticket
• event attendance fees
• accommodation
• spending money

The exact value of the prize will be determined on a yearly basis.

How to win?

EASA will draw the winners from amongst qualifying candidates in December 2003. The winners themselves may select which event they wish to attend. In this way they can choose their preferred time of year, type of event, duration and country. EASA can assist with arrangements where possible.

How do you qualify?

If you are a beginner, i.e. have started learning Esperanto not more than a year before entering, and if you reside in Southern Africa, you may qualify for the competition, provided you fall into one of the following two categories:

• Youth
  
  • be under 30 years of age
  • pass the Elementary Examination
• 
  Teachers or language professionals
  
  • be professional teacher or language professional
  • pass the Intermediate Examination.
